The next time you use FYI, LOL or OMG, you can feel happy about its entry into the portals of accepted, good English. For the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) has included them in its latest revision.
Apart from LOL and OMG, BFF (best friends forever) and TMI (too much information) have also been taken from popular jargon and electronic-communication inspired talk.
The ‘heart’ sign is another one taken from popular usage.
